Who we are
Skout ("we") provides done-for-you B2B outbound services. Skout is operated by Hector Futtrup, Copenhagen, Denmark. For anything in this notice, contact hector@skout.agency.
Whose data we process, and what
We process limited professional data about people in business roles at companies that may benefit from our clients' (or our own) products and services: name, job title, company, business email address, and publicly available professional information (for example a company website or a public professional profile). We deliberately collect no more than the outreach requires — no private addresses, no personal phone numbers, no sensitive data.
Where the data comes from
Business contact databases and publicly available professional sources. We only use business email addresses on company domains; we do not contact personal mailboxes.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use this data to send relevant, individually written business proposals on behalf of ourselves or our clients. The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): you are contacted strictly in your professional capacity, about a matter relevant to your role, with minimal data, and you can opt out at any time. We document a Legitimate Interest Assessment for every campaign before it sends, and we do not send personalized cold email in jurisdictions where this is not permitted.
Who receives the data
Our processors: an email delivery platform, business-data providers, and a database hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). We do not sell personal data. Where a campaign is run for a client, the client receives the conversation only if you reply with interest.
How long we keep it
Contact data for a campaign is kept no longer than 12 months after the campaign ends, then deleted. If you opt out, we keep the minimum needed (a suppression record) to make sure we never contact you again.
Your rights
- Object / opt out: every email we send contains a working opt-out. One click (or one reply) and your whole company is suppressed for that campaign, immediately.
- Access: ask what we hold about you and we will show you.
- Erasure: ask and we delete your data (GDPR Art. 17), keeping only a hashed suppression record so you stay un-contacted.
- Rectification of inaccurate data, and restriction of processing while a request is handled.
Exercise any right by writing to hector@skout.agency. We respond within 30 days, normally much faster.
